Continental Cross Contact LX is a special tyre for medium to heavy 4×4 vehicles. To handle the vehicles the tyre is designed with open shoulders. The braking power of the tyre is increased of its special tread pattern. Towards the opening of the tyre four deep and broad circumferential grooves open up to provide good resistance to aquaplaning. This unique tread pattern also prevents tyre damage caused by the stones the hard-hitting terrain and also increases aquaplaning resistance. To ensure precise response to the steering the rib characteristics and the angled sipes come into action. The Three circumferential block rows in offset arrangement ensure high performance and see that the tyre rolls smoothly without much noise.
